FOREST LUNGS is inspired by the concept of ‘medicalising nature’, using olfactory chemistry and patented technology to replicate the molecular compounds produced by trees, phytoncides. Phytoncides are credited for the positive health benefits associated with forest bathing, namely stress reduction, anxiety reduction and boosting the parasympathetic (rest) nervous system. Like the Madagascan clove leaf oil in MIND ENERGY, which is sourced through a foundation that works with local communities to create jobs and ensure a sustainable supply of oil with increased transparency. The Egyptian geranium oil is grown in an oasis area of the Western Desert, sourced through our ingredient partner’s Responsible Sourcing Team, and has created over 800 jobs for local communities. Plus, we donate 1% of each sale from every product to charity: water, providing safe drinking water to communities around the world through 1% for the Planet.
PLANET
Every ingredient in FUNCTIONAL FRAGRANCE DISCOVERY SET has been sourced with sustainability in mind. Such as the cedarwood used in FOREST LUNGS, which is sourced through an upcycling program in Morocco. The scent is extracted from sawdust, usually a waste product of the furniture industry, through molecular distillation. The bergamot oil comes from Calabria, Italy via our lab’s Responsible Sourcing Programme, and is grown by local producers. Plus, our fragrance bottle is housed in infinitely recyclable glass.
